Braids

Ok, These braids were a catastrophe. I put them in on the 29 of July 2011 and took them out 1 week later. Yep, just one week.

They had started to fall out. (*shakes head*). Sigh... My ever loving hair began to unravel from the "natural braids" that I put in. But I rocked them for the first week. Below is the one and only style I got to take a picture of. Enjoy!

Styling attempt

I tried. Really I tried to style my twa aka. teeny weeny afro ( I learned something new... haha). But the hair clip I made over powered everything. So, I put on my wig. pinned it up and made a nest for my flower to rest in. I will try and make another attempt tomorrow.

Hopefully I can master the twa by Monday.

Lost my camera

Ok, I had pictures of my last set of natural braids but I lost my camera. My braids only lasted 1 week and a day...lol...Yep that short. My freaking hair unwrapped from the braids and they started to fall out. So I just gave up... I wish I had known this before I spent all that money doing it.

So today, I am washing my hair. I did the apple cider vinegar, apple juice and olive oil as a rinse. Then I am going to try a protein treatment and then use my wen.

Big Chop

I give up dealing with the 2 textures just started to annoy me. I was so tired of being afraid to cut my hair. Well lets face it, my head is big and I really need hair to cover that.

Do I love it? Not really it will have to grow on me first... but like I said my head is huge so I may have to start exercising again to shrink down the face. LOL.

What's been going on

Ok, I don't have any pictures but I am loving my wigs right now.

- In the process of moving so I can't find anything right now.
- Tried a lace front and my weave lady (who shall remain nameless) decides to cut my baby hair from my hairline. Yes I stopped her half way but one half of my face does not have sideburns.
_Wigs... Loving them especially once they are long enough to cover up this lacking sideburn problem.

- Tried a cold rod set on my hair. It looked nice... no pictures to show my try taking some with my phone later. Only problem is the straight hair has begun to break off.

May have some stuff to review later on this month. Just received the nu gro shampoo if you do not know about it out on Ateeya to view her hair care regimen.

Trying New Hairstyles

I am making headway in my list of hairstyles to try. Meet what I have termed "frohawk."

This one occurred because... Well I couldn't comb out my hair after putting in bantu knots.

I use a shea butter mixture that is done by my friend Asheina. I love love love it. I tried the cantu shea butter mixture and it turned my hair hard and a bit too wavy. The curls came out too crispy... (see below). I normally use the shea butter mix to set my hair she has alot of flavors but I love the peppermint and peach scents. I had to make a bandana to wear with the hairstyle after the cantu shea butter because my hair looked and felt so rough. Plus it was too hard to comb through... Guess I used too much.

Oh well... You live. You learn. Then you get Luvs.
